Techenergo-SV LLC, part of the League of Defence Enterprises of Ukraine, showcased the KTД-2-2A quantum rangefinder at the International Arms and Security Exhibition 2019.
According to Anatoliy Feditynyk, director of the domestic company, their rangefinder has already passed state testing, Defense Express reports.
“The product passed state testing last week. We’re now awaiting a joint decision on its adoption into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said the head of Techenergo-SV.
The Ukrainian device is designed to measure the distance to diffusely reflective objects up to 10,000 metres away, with a maximum meteorological range of 20 km.
Thanks to its built-in control panel, the device can be quickly adjusted, used to measure distance, and display parameters on the spot.
The device can filter out false targets even in heavy rain or smoke at distances up to 4 km. It also supports data transmission via serial interface (RS232, Bluetooth).
The manufacturer notes that over 80% of the rangefinder is locally produced, with around 20% — mostly electronic components — imported from abroad.
It’s worth adding that the primary users of the domestic rangefinder are expected to be Ukrainian artillery units.
