The new PNL-4 aviation night-vision goggles from PCO S.A. are specially designed for crews of military helicopters and transport aircraft.
The device was showcased at the annual international exhibition “Arms and Security 2019” among other company developments, Defense Express reports.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using aviation night-vision goggles, says Piotr Żak, a marketing specialist at PCO S.A.
PCO S.A. continuously works on expanding and upgrading its products by enhancing functionality and developing next-generation devices. Building on the earlier PNL-3 aviation night-vision goggles, they created the PNL-3M models certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), as well as the PNL-4 goggles designed specifically for military helicopter and aircraft pilots.
All aviation night-vision goggles designed and produced by PCO S.A. come equipped with filters that enhance the device’s performance during flight. This allows pilots to effectively monitor both the ground below and their instrument panels while flying.
Besides the optical system for pilots, the company showcased a night-vision device for use by ground forces and special operations troops, the SCT thermal sight, the NPL-1T binocular thermal imager, and the modular DCM-1 daytime sight.
